NEWS FROM THE TOWN OF PARRY SOUND

 

 

 

Join The Town of Parry Sound on Monday, July 01, at the Charles W. Stockey Centre in Downtown Parry Sound for a Canada Day party!

This celebration will host a beer garden, music, shows, food & attractions for the whole family! 

 

This jam-packed day runs from 11am-10pm and wraps up with a spectacular firework display over the inner harbour of Georgian Bay.

·     This is a product that goes over the road surface that seals and extends the life of the road.

 

·     This work will happen through the night. Road will be reopen by 7am.

·     There is no start timeline for this yet but we will advise when we are notified.

·     Parking permit fees were increased from the current $30/month to $50/month and the daily parking permits that we allow for contractors etc were increased from $8/day to $10/day. 

·     A maximum of 24 consecutive hours of parking was added for the entire town. This would limit people from parking in excess of 24 hours without moving their vehicle. This was added to address long term parking issues where vehicles have been left for long periods of time.

·     Electric vehicle charging station regulations in advance of the new EV charging stations to be added to the BOCC and Stockey

·     Boulevard parking to be permitted on paved sections of boulevard with no curbs or mountable curbs between April 16th-October 31st of each year as long as it does not interfere with municipal operations/infrastructure/utility work

·     Overnight parking area at the Stockey Centre during the winter months identified by a map to be the gravel parking area near the trail

·     McIsaac Way added to one way street list (previously approved by Council to be turned into a one-way street running from the entrance on Bay St to James St)
